The ideal temperature for applying paint is between 15 and 25°C.

On a wall that is too hot (in direct sunlight): The thinner evaporates too quickly. The paint doesn't adhere properly and the paint film is of poor quality.

On a wall that's too cold: The drying process is too slow, which can prevent the "coalescence" of water-based paints (the formation of the protective film) and trap moisture.

Beware of the wind: It speeds up drying and can deposit dust on your fresh paint.
